What can I treat the inside of the steel barrel with to prevent rust that will not be dangerous for drinking water? Thank You! :) Drinking from a rusty container is not dangerous? I recently purchased a supposedly stainless steel braclet on eBay but when I checked to see if it was attracted to a magnet, it wasn't. I used the magnet to verify it was truly stainless steel. I always thought stainless steel would be attracted to a magnet. Helmut mentioned that 300 series not readily attracted. Does not readily mean not at all, or just barely, or what?

I have had this steel string scoustic guitar for about 8 months. I have not changed the strings yet. But I keep thinking they are kinda worn out. But really. How long does it take until they wear out you need to replace new steel strings? Or do they wear out at all?

Is that steel about the same thing as 1055 carbon steel? If not what would have this type of steel. I am more interested in the steel that is in the middle of the blade not the diamonds.
